(Tenue de Soirée) (France) Directed by Bertrand Blier (Too Beautiful for You, Going Places)
Cast: Gérard Depardieu, Miou-Miou, Michel Blanc
Plot: In the first scene Monique (Miou-Miou) is verbally abusing her nebbish little loser of a husband (Blanc) for being so broke. In comes hulking Bob (Depardieu), in black leather pants, to smack Monique down, defending poor Antoine. When they protest, he throws money at them as though he had all there was in the world. They're both hooked and soon Bob is teaching them the tricks of robbing houses. Bob clearly has seduction in mind -- but of Monique? Or of Antoine?
US/UK Status: No longer in print in the US but it was once -- you can find subtitled versions in rental shops or for sale on the secondary market. (I got mine off ebay.) Not in print in the UK either.
